Who is the course for?

This package is ideal for both beginners and those with some bookkeeping experience but no formal qualifications. The package combines the IAB Level 1 and 2 Awards in Manual Bookkeeping and is aimed at individuals who wish to further their studies of manual bookkeeping and gain a qualification at Level 2 of the National Framework having completed studies of the IAB Level 1 Award in Bookkeeping. It could also be used by those candidates who have some practical knowledge and skills and wish to gain an accredited qualification in this subject

What do i get out of it?

On successful completion of all the mandatory units the learner will receive a certificate to confirm the achievement of the Level 1 and 2 Awards in Manual Bookkeeping (QCF). The certificate will include the full name and accreditation number of the qualification and the grade obtained.

Assessment and Grading

The qualifications are assessed via a series of tutor marked assignments, knowledge tests and external exams in either June or January each year.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. It is advisable for candidates to have ability in both arithmetic and English at Level 2 prior to embarking on study for this qualification. Please note that this offer is the online course, i.e. the learning material will be uploaded to your student area for you to view and download if wish.

Are there any extra costs?

No, the learning material, the tutor support, access to past papers and sample assessment material, the IAB qualification fee and the external exam fee at an accredited IAB exam centre are all included in the price. If you choose to sit the exam at a non-accredited IAB exam centre you will have to pay the relevant centre separately.
